Sigrid Unterwurzacher (*1993) is a painter, illustrator and designer who grew up in the Austrian alps and lives and works in Bremen.
To her painting is an attempt at giving form to something unknown, something inner, that is not there for anyone’s eyes to see until it comes into being, confined within the rectangular shape that is the image. It can also be an attempt at recording, holding on to and giving form to states of emotion, body or memory.
