The disturbing yet captivating aspects of skeletal remains and near mummified bodes take an important role in my paintings and drawings. The fusion between Danse Macabre and surrealism, since it is not wet and visceral enough to be morbid art, has given me the freedom to explore possible parallel dimensions and worlds, such as the world of dreams, afterlife, outer space and the past.

Where I come from, depictions of Christ in his last hours, of martyred Saints and the power of God over us represented in famines, plagues, floodings and disease are found in every piece of artwork in schools, local churches and homes.

Growing up surrounded by this, has shaped my perspective on the meaning of life and stimulated a sensitivity within myself to find the beauty in the bizarre.
At 13 I decided to take drawing seriously, to explore this sensitivity. Shortly before entering the Hochschule für Künste Bremen in 2019, I dove into oil painting to expand the possibilities these entities and dimensions can be portrayed as. The main goal is not to cause shock value, rather to glimpse into the impermanence of life from a different point of view.
